CASTING CALL TWELFTH NIGHT

 

The Shakespeare Project is seeking Technical and Performance positions for their upcoming production of Twelfth Night. 

 

ACTORS:

Digital Submissions will be accepted through November 1st. Please send a headshot, resume, and a Shakespeare Monologue of your choice either as a video doc or youtube file to  shakespeareprojectal@gmail.com. THIS YEAR, ALL AUDITIONS WILL BE DIGITAL.

All roles are available for this production, and we strongly encourage all races, body types, and genders to submit.

SIR TOBY (PROFESSIONAL or College Apprentice)

ANTONIO (High School Apprentice)

VALENTINE (High School Apprentice)

FESTE (Apprentice or Anniston Local. We would love someone who could play an instrument.)

 

TECHNICIANS:

Digital submissions will be accepted until November 1st. Please submit a headshot, resume, and three professional references to shakespeareprojectal@gmail.com. All Professional Technical Positions have been filled and we are only seeking College Apprentices at this time. 

BREAKDOWN:

Lighting/Props Apprentice

Costume/Stitcher Apprentice

Stage Manager Apprentice

Carpenter Apprentice

2 High School Technical Theatre Apprentices

 

Rehearsals and build begin December 27th and the show will run for one week from January 13-17. Professional Company will be paid $1000 plus housing for the 3 week contract, and Acting/Technical Apprentices will receive a stipend of $500 plus housing for the 3 week contract. High School Apprentices will receive a stipend of $250 for the 3 week contract. At this time, we are only able to hire non-equity actors. 

The Shakespeare Project was founded in 2017 in Anniston, Alabama at the original home of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. The Shakespeare Project’s mission is to provide free accessible professional Shakespeare to all, regardless of race, gender, or socio-economic status, under the belief that art is a human right. All performances are free to the general public and surrounding schools. Our shows are only 90 minutes long and specifically tailored to the community of Northeast Alabama.
